Lightbearer is born of a hope and a conviction; that the Word of God is alive and sharper than any blade, and that we are tasked by our Lord to carry it into a hostile world. For the disciples of Jesus, no aspect of our lives is not a mission field. And though many of us may be able and willing, our weakness in the flesh keeps us from executing our task.

The vision for Lightbearer is to enable the followers of Jesus to embody the piercing words of God wherever they go and to remind themselves in every moment who they serve. God commanded in Deuteronomy that the people carve His Law into their doorposts, to bind it to their wrists and foreheads, and to keep it on their lips morning, noon, and night. We too should seek to saturate ourselves, mind and body, with the Scriptures.

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
